Using the right centerpiece, table linens and other decor helps to create this enjoyable table theme for your family and friends. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Spread a candy-themed tablecloth over your table. These are available at dollar, discount or party supply stores. Another idea is to use a plain white tablecloth as a neutral background for the colorful candy.
2Roll up your silverware in a plain white cloth napkin. Place a miniature or full-sized candy bar or lollipop on top of the roll. Tie a piece of raffia or fabric ribbon around the silverware roll and candy and tie the ends into a bow. This is an excellent way to provide an after dinner treat for your guests.
3Set a round pillar candle into the middle of a glass hurricane lamp. Pour individually wrapped hard candies about halfway up the candle height. This creates a colorful candy centerpiece. Another idea is to randomly stick large, round lollipops into an existing silk flower arrangement.
4Fill a large, clean glass jar with a lid with an assortment of jelly beans. Use this as decor on your table or even as the centerpiece. Invite your guests to estimate how many jelly beans are inside. The person who guesses closest to the correct number wins the jar and contents. This is an enjoyable contest for young and old alike.
5Bend index cards in half and write the guests' names on the cards with gold ink or a colorful marker. Glue a piece of individually-wrapped hard candy next to the name as a treat for each person.
6Set your table with plain white plates. The white color works well in providing a balance for the colorful candy.
7Purchase stickers that feature different types of candy. Stick them onto the outside of disposable party glasses to enhance the candy theme.
