How to Decorate a Baby Shower Table

How to Decorate a Baby Shower Table

Decorating a baby shower table need not be expensive or elaborate. Keeping it simple and colorful will wow the mother-to-be and the guests. For added fun put out baby pictures of the expectant parents or have each guest bring a baby picture and have a contest to guess the identity of each baby.

Instructions

    1

Place the tablecloth over the table. Use a small baby quilt or blanket. Place at an angle over the tablecloth in the center of the table.

    2

Blow up 10 to 12 balloons; tie off. Cut the ribbon into 24 inch pieces. Cut enough for the number of balloons you have. Tie the end of one ribbon onto the tied end of a balloon. Repeat this for all the balloons and ribbons.

    3

Place two to three pieces of tissue paper into each gift bag. Fluff up the tissue paper so it sticks out the top of the bags. Set one gift bag on each end of the table. Tie two to three balloons onto the handles of one of the gift bags. Curl the ends of the loose ribbon. Repeat for the other gift bag. If necessary, add a rock to the bottom of each bag to weigh them down on the table.

    4

Tie or tape the remaining balloons around the edges of the table. Do not put on the front edge of the table. Tape the paper streamers to the sides and front of table; tape one end of the streamer to the side edge of the table, gently twist, and tape the streamer to the edges of the table to hold.

    5

Set the punch bowl on one end of the table off to the side of the gift bag. Set cups and napkins to one side of the punch bowl. Place plates, silverware and more napkins on the other end of the table. Place any food on the end with the plates and silverware. Put gifts in the center of the table.
