Freezer tables are a great way to combine storage with preparation space. However, many freezers that come with freezer tables are very expensive, and can sometimes cost over $5,000. However, with a little skill and some power tools, it is possible to create a table top for a regular mini freezer that works just as well as the expensive kind. This project can be completed in 1 to 2 hours--the table will be ready to be used in just a day--and you will be able to take advantage of the benefits of a freezer table without having to pay full price. Does this Spark an idea?

Purchase a mini freezer that will reach the height of a normal counter top. Choose one that suits your freezer needs. It is best to choose a freezer that is sturdy. If you purchase a stainless steel freezer, you might have trouble getting the glue to stick, so keep that in mind when buying one.
2Measure the length and width of the freezer. Purchase some counter top from any home supply store to use as a table to go on top of the freezer. Purchase about the same amount as the measurements of the freezer top.
3Mark the exact dimensions of the freezer top with a pencil on the counter top. Use the electric saw to cut the counter where you made the marks. It is important to have clean lines, so cut slowly and carefully.
4Lay the counter top over the freezer. Make sure that the freezer door can still open. Check to make sure the counter is the same size as the freezer top. Glue the counter top to the top of the freezer. Lay something heavy on the freezer for 24 hours to let the glue set.
5Wipe the top and sides of the freezer and counter with a soapy rag. Since this will be used to prepare food on, it is important that it be kept clean. Clean the inside of the freezer as well. There is likely to be a lot of sawdust after cutting the counter top.
6Bring the freezer into the room where you want to use it. Plug it in and use for whatever you need it for. You now have an extra counter that can be used for any number of tasks.
