How to Decorate Christmas Party Tables

Decorating party tables at Christmas can be almost as difficult as figuring out what gift to give the friend that has everything. You want to make a positive impression and have a beautiful table, but your budget and time may be limited. Despite any limitations, you can still create gorgeous Christmas-themed party tables that will impress you and your guests. Does this Spark an idea?

    Cover your tables with white tablecloths. While you may be tempted to use red or green, the white brings out the colors of your table dcor. In addition, you can reuse white tablecloths for almost any other occasion; whereas red or green tablecloths have limited use.

    Throw confetti on the tablecloths. A party is a celebration, so confetti adds to the festive spirit. You can either use square or circle red and green confetti or Christmas-tree shaped confetti. Another option is white confetti in the shape of snowflakes.

    Place pine branches in the center of the tables so they form two horizontal lines with a space in between. Trim them, if necessary, so there is more greenery than brown stem. Spray white spray paint on the brances to give them a snow-covered effect.

    Place mini pine cones alongside the pine branches. You can use real ones; however, you must make sure they are completely clean and dry before placing them on the table. Use fake pine cones and eliminate the hassle of cleaning real ones.

    Set flameless candles on the tables. Regular candles and greenery make a dangerous combination. Place two or three candles in between the two lines of pine branches.

    Place round Christmas ornaments around the candles in between the two lines of pine branches. Ornaments come in a variety of sizes; mixing small and large ornaments creates a visually interesting effect. Hand paint the ornaments and give one to each guest as a party favor.

    Set a place setting for each guest using white dinnerware. If you don't already own white dinnerware, look for it at discount stores. You'll pay less money and be less upset if any plates break.
