How to Make Christmas Candy Centerpieces

Create a Christmas centerpiece with candy. Use any type of candy. Candy you can push a stick into works best, like Buckeyes or chocolate-covered cherries. Guests at Christmas dinner or a Christmas party can take a piece off the centerpiece as a snack or souvenir. Use traditional Christmas colors of red and green or you can use silver, gold, white or blue for a different look. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Place the foam hemisphere inside the bowl or basket.

    2

Tear off a piece of cellophane. Lay it on a flat surface, spread out. Place the candy in the center of cellophane. Set the non-pointed end of the skewer just under the piece of candy. If possible, push the skewer into the candy. Wrap the candy and skewer with the cellophane. Use the clear tape to hold cellophane in place. Cut a piece of ribbon. Tie it around the base of the cellophane. Repeat with all the candy.

    3

Press the other end of the skewer into the foam. Repeat with all the skewers. Arrange the skewers any way you want.

    4

Layer greenery around the skewers to cover up the foam. Set the candy centerpiece on a table.
