How to Make Table Centerpieces With Glass Vases

Whether you're hosting a formal event at a banquet hall or a casual dinner in your home, add ambiance to the space with table centerpieces. Glass vases are ideal vessels to use for creating centerpieces, as they come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be used to display an array of items. From traditional arrangements to whimsical displays, use glass vases to create a centerpiece that suits the theme of your event. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Fill a collection of glass vases with simple floral arrangements. Gather a collection of three or four matching short glass vases. Fill the bottom of the vases with decorative marbles that match the color scheme of your event. Create simple bouquets of one type of flower -- roses, lilies or daisies, for example -- and place them in each of the vases. Set the vases out in the center of a table in a straight line or in a circular formation.

    2

Create a whimsical arrangement with glass vases. Place a mirror in the center of a table and set a hurricane vase on top of the mirror. Fill the vase with a collection of colorful feathers. Place small glass bud vases around the hurricane vase and set tea lights inside of them.

    3

Create a playful centerpiece made out of candy using glass vases. Set glass vases of different sizes and shapes in a line along the center of a table; place the tallest vase in the center of the table and put shorter vases on either side. Fill each of the vases with small candies that match the color scheme of your event -- unwrapped candies, such as jelly beans, or individually wrapped candies. Arrange tall pieces of candy in the center of each of the vases, such as lollipops or candy canes. These centerpieces are not only decorative, guests can also munch on the contents at the end of the event.

    4

Display glass vases as candle holders for a romantic centerpiece. Set short circular or square vases along the center of the table in a line. Place pillar candles in the center of each of the vases and surround the candles with decorative marbles, sea glass, sand or seashells.
